Using the master data synchronization ( Utilities > Parts > Synchronize current project), you can carry over the parts to parts management.
When planning projects in EPLAN, you can call up the device list and use the individual parts. The Festo parts are then available in the project. Therefore, if the same part is contained in different shopping baskets, this part is not multiply generated but rather generated once in the appropriate quantity. If there are several shopping baskets to be transferred into the device list, then identical parts are combined. This enables you to insert new devices in the schematic directly from the device list and use the editing features of the device list, provided that the device data is correct. You can access the Festo order management from the device list and expand or fill the device list with parts from the shopping baskets.
With very few exceptions, the Festo web page is shown in the language that was set as the dialog language at the time of the import.Īfter importing, you can use the Festo parts in the project by, for example, placing macros or selecting devices. When it is imported into the parts management module, the macro name and the hyperlink to the Festo webpage for the relevant part (if available) are entered in the Macro ( Technical data tab) and File / Hyperlink 1 ( Documents tab) fields. The configuration file also assigns macros and / or symbols to Festo parts and can also be used to change the assignment of the properties. The import mode defined there specifies whether parts are overwritten or appended. The festo.cfg configuration file defines which Festo part data is to be imported. Accessory parts not having an assignment (e.g. This assignment is retained on import into the parts management, so that the parts are assigned an appropriate function in EPLAN.
In the Festo product catalog, almost every part number can be assigned to a symbol according to ISO 1219-1. The import can be configured, so that (e.g.) specific data occurring in different places in the Festo product catalog can be combined into a single field in the EPLAN parts management. If you have created a shopping basket in the order management of the Festo product catalog, you can import the parts from this into the EPLAN parts management. Import Festo parts into the parts management These shopping baskets can be imported from the Festo order management into the EPLAN parts management and/or device list. It is possible to create parts lists and store then in shopping baskets via the Festo product catalog.
